Who I help

The people I work with don't fit neatly into one box. They're in a wide range of industries, at different career stages, navigating unique circumstances.

But they tend to share a few things: they're sharp, they're thoughtful, and they know something has to change. Here's what that looks like.

I partner with brilliant humans at different moments

For those ready to make a career shift

You know you're ready for a change, but the timing is complicated. The financial stakes are real, the market is uncertain, and the emotional weight of staying somewhere that's draining you is getting harder to carry.

I work with people navigating these brave (often terrifying) career transitions. We map out your options and chart a path that reignites your career and life with joy and meaning.

Darrell's story

Darrell was a senior leader in an East Coast school division. He was ready for a change, but his parameters were tight: contributing earner for his family, young child, pension tied to the state, and very few roles at his level available in a given year.

Much of our work was about managing the day-to-day while he waited:

  • How to stay engaged in his current role while seeking what was next

  • How to capture leadership stories from his daily work that would land in interviews later

  • When the right opportunity finally came up, we pivoted to interview prep with real-time feedback

He accepted a new position at a higher level, and he's now able to see himself as the visionary team leader he truly is.

I was able to start in a new role with a new organization as a result of my work with Monika. I have more confidence in myself and what I bring to an organization as a result of our work.

Monika can help you discover the best about yourself and how to apply that to your work. Whether you are looking to gain new strategies for your current role or trying to propel yourself into a new industry, she has the expertise and the skills to help you meet your goal.

For those looking to grow where they are

You know something has to change, but you're not looking to change everything overnight. You've been going through the motions, or maybe you're burned out and just can't tell if the problem is your job or something else.

I work with people who are choosing to stay where they are but are ready to start feeling good about that choice. Sometimes, the bravest move is reshaping what you already have.

Elyse's story

Six years at her tech company, and Elyse was wondering if her time there had run its course. We didn't start with a job search. We started with a harder question: what do you truly want for your next chapter?

As we dug in, something interesting emerged. It wasn't the company she wanted to leave. It was the role. The blurry swim lanes. The work she'd once loved was draining her instead of energizing her. Sometimes the next chapter isn't somewhere else entirely.

So instead of running away, we figured out what running toward something could look like. Through our work together, Elyse moved into a new internal role that played to her strengths and offered a future she's genuinely excited about.

Working with Monika helped me 'make sense of the chaos' of career planning. I can come to a session with a jumbled hodge-podge of thoughts and ideas, and she will help me finesse them into something coherent and actionable. Her coaching is truly individualized — she has a keen sense for what each specific client needs.  Springboard coaching with Monika helped me find the courage and clarity to move into a role that I truly love!

For those building a meaningful business

You're building something of your own and realizing how different it feels to make every decision alone. You're carrying the vision, the doubt, and the logistics all at once.

I work with entrepreneurs who are past the daydream phase and into the real thing — the identity shifts, the hard conversations, and the patterns that keep getting in the way of their growth.

Maya's story

Maya had just been laid off from a leadership role at Google. So much of her identity was tied to being that leader.

She came to me interviewing at multiple companies, but I could see early on that she wanted to work for herself. It took her a little longer to get there. Every interview had a valid reason it didn't work out, and eventually those reasons formed a pattern.

Once she gave herself permission to pursue her own thing, the work shifted. Within her first year, she launched Velocity Ave and hit $1M in revenue.

Working with Monika at The Springboard has brought me tremendous professional clarity. Monika is the best of coaches. All the breakthrough moments came out of our sessions. She observed what I didn't admit, and challenged me in holistic ways.

This silver lining of my layoff – creating my business Velocity Ave – would not have happened without our conversations.

You might be sitting on a benefit you're not using

Many companies offer professional development stipends as part of their total compensation package. If your employer has one, coaching with The Springboard may already be covered.

Every company handles it a little differently, but the basics are simple:

  • Check with your HR or People Operations team to see if you have a professional development benefit, and then reach out to me.

  • We'll figure out how to make it work, whether that's a North Star session, a Running Start engagement, or something more in-depth.

I've coached people who work at places like Google, The Lincoln Park Zoo, Gartner, Dscout, the EPA and across industries ranging from tech and education to entertainment and healthcare.
